Standard field coil according to Helmholtz

Photo: Standard field coil according to Helmholtz
In the measurement of magnetic fields by means of Hall probes or measuring coils it is necessary to calibrate the instruments in a known magnetic field. In series arrangement with an accurate ammeter field strengths of up to circa 800 A/cm are produced. The field room is accessible both in axial and radial direction.
Coil constant: ca. 200 A/cm ±1 %
Coil current: 4 ampere maximum
Duration of operation: 25 % or 5 minutes
Field measurement for 1 % accuracy: 12 mm Ø x 20 mm
Axial opening: 50 mm Ø
Radial opening: 8 mm Ø
Resistance: ca. 2 x 10 ohms
