Magnet-Physics Inc. was established in 1999 and is the North America division of
MAGNET-PHYSIK Dr. Steingroever GmbH.
In December 2023, Tim Lankenau joined the MPS family as President and CEO of Magnet-Physics. Since then, he has been leading the company and its dedicated team of three to serve our customers across the Americas.
Magnet-Physics Inc. is a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary located in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. We provide sales and support for our parent company’s complete product lines of magnetization and measuring equipment to our customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
US based Calibration Services
Furthermore, we maintain an established laboratory that provides ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration services, in addition to comprehensive testing services for the characterization of magnetic materials.
Magnet-Physics Inc. has been accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and certified by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. (# 80076) since 2016. We have been accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 since 2020. At our Indianapolis laboratory, we offer manufacturer-independent calibration services for a broad range of magnetic measuring instruments, including Gauss and Tesla meters, Flux meters, Helmholtz coils, field coils, reference magnets, magnetic moment standards, etc.
Our test lab is well equipped for material characterization and testing of hard and soft magnetic materials in compliance with the American Society for Testing and Materials standards ASTM A977/A977M, A773/A773M, A927/A927M and IEC 60404-4/5/6.
